Day 1 – Airport to Anuradhapura

When arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport, a T2 Travels representative will meet and greet you. Then we will start on our way to Anuradhapura.

On our way, we will visit one of the most important institutions for the preservation of the wild Sri Lankan Elephants, the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

The Ancient City of Anuradhapura was the capital of Sinhalese civilization from the 4th century BC to around 1017 AD. During this period it was a center of Buddhist learning, which is evident by many temples and holy places. The one of the sights which stand out is the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, a sacred fig tree and the oldest tree planted by men with a known date of planting.

Day 2 – Anuradhapura to Trincomalee

Day 3 – Trincomalee

Day 5 – Sigiriya

Day 6 – Sigiriya to Kandy

After breakfast at the hotel in Sigiriya, we will get on the road to Kandy.

On our way, we will visit the Golden Temple of Dambulla, from the 1st century BC and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Afterward, we will visit the city of Matale where the Sri Muthumariamman Kovil is located, a temple with one of the tallest gopurams in Sri Lanka which is decorated with 1008 statues.

Arriving in Kandy, we will take a tour of the city. The Royal Palace Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, part of which is the Temple of the Tooth, traditional Wood Carving Factory, a Gem Museum, and a traditional Batik Factory.

After the tour, we will attend the Kandyan Dance Show, the spectacle that showcases Sri Lankan immaterial heritage, dances and traditional costumes.

Day 7 – Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

On our way, we will visit the Sri Bhakta Hanuman temple. Just a short drive away is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka, Ramboda Ella.

Continuing on our way, we will visit the Seetha Amman Kovil, constructed at the place where princess Sita spent part of her captivity.

When we arrive at Nuwara Eliya, the rest of the afternoon we will spend on Lake Gregory, a popular spot for trout fishing, boating, and strolling along its banks.

Day 8 – Nuwara Eliya to Ella

In the morning we will head for the town of Nanuoya where we will board on Train to Ella, and enjoy one of the most scenic train rides in the world.

We will also visit one of the most charming train bridges in the world, the Nine Arches Bridge.

Day 9 – Ella

After breakfast at the hotel in Ella, we will explore this charming town.

In the morning we will climb up Little Adam’s Peak, one of the most popular hiking locations.

Afterward, we will visit two places related to Ramayana. The Ravana Ella is the waterfall under which princess Sitha bathed while she was imprisoned in Ravana’s Cave.

Day 10 – Ella to Yala

After breakfast at the hotel in Ella, we will proceed to Yala National Park.

Yala National Park is one of the two oldest and the most popular parks in Sri Lanka. On a Jeep Safari through its Block I, which is known as the place with the highest concentration of leopards in the world, with a bit of luck we may see these majestic animals.

Day 11 – Yala to Bentota

Continuing along the coast we will visit Kosgoda where we will enjoy the River Boat Safari on Madu Ganga River.

Arriving in Bentota we will spend the afternoon in Leisure, and enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in Sri Lanka.

Day 12 – Bentota

After breakfast at the hotel in Bentota, we will enjoy the attractions of this town.

Bentota is a prime spot for Beach Activities. Snorkeling, scuba diving, banana boat riding, jet skiing, are just some of the activities you can enjoy here.

Day 13 – Bentota to Colombo

We will also visit Sri Kailawasanathan Swami Devasthanam Kovil and Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple, and many more notable places.

In the afternoon, we will embark on a shopping tour through many Colombo’s malls. ODEL, Noritake, and House of Fashion are just some of them.

Day 14 – Colombo to Airport
