Day 1 – Airport to Sigiriya
When you arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport a T2 Travels representative will be waiting on you. After the meet and greet, we will start on our way to Sigiriya.
Arriving in Sigiriya we will visit the ancient Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Constructed in the 5th century AD, on top of the 200 meters high rock, it is one of the most magnificent examples of ancient cities in Sri Lanka.
Afterward, we will take a Jeep Safari through Minneriya National Park. Located near the historic 3rd-century AD artificial lake, Minneriya Wewa, it is an important wildlife sanctuary as here, animals from surrounding areas, migrate during the dry seasons.

Day 2 – Sigiriya to Kandy
After breakfast at the hotel in Sigiriya, we will start our journey to Kandy.
On our way, we will visit the Golden Temple of Dambulla. A beautiful Buddhist cave temple complex, consisting of five caves decorated with more than 2,100 square meters of religious paintings. Being a place of worship since at least the 1st century BC, it is one of the oldest and the best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka.
Continuing on our way, we will visit a Spice and Herbal Garden, where you can learn about local produce Sri Lanka is known for around the world since ancient times.
When we arrive in Kandy, we will attend a cultural heritage show. The Kandyan Dance Show is a spectacle that showcases the immaterial heritage of Sinhalese civilization, traditional dances, and traditional costumes of the Kandyan kingdom.
After the show, we will visit one of the holiest places for Buddhists in Sri Lanka. Sri Dalada Maligawa, or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, is the temple where the sacred relic of Buddha’s tooth is kept.

Day 3 – Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast at the hotel in Kandy, we will head to Nuwara Eliya.
In the suburbs of Kandy, where once the royal palace gardens of one of the first Kandyan kings stood, today is the Royal Botanic Garden. This institution boasts a collection of more than 4,000 different plant species.
Continuing on our way, we will visit a Tea Factory, where on a guided tour you can learn about the history and process of producing some of the best tea in the world.
We will also visit the Sri Bhakta Hanuman, a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, a member of the Hindu pantheon. Near the temple is located the Ramboda Ella one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka.
The cool and temperate climate of the tea country is favorable for growing fruits that are an unusual sight on tropical islands. Thus we will visit the Strawberry Farm, where you can enjoy the aroma of these wholesome fruits.
Arriving in Nuwara Eliya, we will spend leisure time in the style of wealthy planters of the colonial time. Lake Gregory is a popular spot for trout fishing, boating, and lazy strolls along its banks.

Day 4 – Nuwara Eliya to Ella
Our journey to the airport will start very early in the morning. Breakfast is provided in the form of a takeaway in the Horton Plains National Park.
The Horton Plains National Park is a protected area situated at an altitude of 2,100 meters above sea level. Most of it is made of a plateau which ends with its most famous feature, the World’s End. This sheer precipice is a cliff of around 1,200 meters in height above the valley. View from it is often obscured by the mists, and it is important to reach it before they settle in the valley.
The temperate climate of the Sri Lankan hills is also a reason why we will see a sight more common in the cold regions of northern Germany and the northern Netherlands, herds of Holstein Friesian black and white cows lazily grazing on the rolling grasslands of the New Zealand Dairy Farm.
Afterward, we will head to the town of Nanuoya, where we will take a Train Trip to Ella. This part of Sri Lanka’s railway snakes through some of the most beautiful vistas of lush green tea estates and rain forest, making it one of the most scenic train trips in the world.
After arriving in Ella, we will visit one of the most popular landmarks in this area. The Nine Arches Bridge, a railway bridge that gently curves over a lush green ravine.

Day 5 – Ella to Bentota
After Breakfast at the hotel in Ella, we will proceed to Bentota.
The first stop we will make at one of the most popular hiking spots, the Little Adam’s Peak name so after the popular pilgrimage location due to similar physical characteristics, but on a smaller scale.
Continuing on our way, we will visit two places related to the captivity of Hindu goddess Sita. The Ravana Ella is a waterfall at which she bathed while she was imprisoned in nearby Ravana Cave. This cave is also an important archeological dig site where some of the earliest evidence of human habitation on the island were found.
On our way, we will pass through the city of Ratnapura and visit the Gem Museum. This city is the center of the gem industry in Sri Lanka for more than two millennia and a place where the largest blue sapphire in the world was unearthed.
Afterward, we will visit Adisham Bungalow. This former country retreat of a wealthy planter today is a Catholic Benedictine monastery. Most of the furnishings are preserved from the colonial era, and visitors can enjoy the sight of opulence and artisanal craftsmanship of this place.

Day 6 – Bentota to Colombo
After breakfast at the hotel in Bentota, we will start the journey to Colombo.
First, we will travel south along the coast and visit the Galle Fort. This fortress was originally built by Portuguese in the late 16th century and was expanded by Dutch East India Company in the 17th century. It is widely considered as the best-preserved European fortification from this period in South Asia.
Turning back north, we will visit the Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project. An institution dedicated to the preservation of these magnificent creatures before they face extinction.
While in the town of Kosgoda, we will also take a River Boat Safari on Madu Ganga River. The banks and many islands of this river are covered by marshy mangrove forests of immense beauty, which is home to many bird species.

Day 7 – Colombo to Airport
After breakfast at the hotel in Colombo, we will journey to Bandaranaike International Airport.
In the morning we will embark on a sightseeing tour of the city. We will visit the Old Fort, the nearby Beira Lake and one of the most popular Buddhist temples, the Gangaramaya Temple. Also, we will visit the National Museum and nearby Independence Memorial Hall. We will also spend time wandering the colorful streets of the historic neighborhood of Pettah.
