Day 1 – Airport to Sigiriya

Arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport you will be awaited by a T2 Travels representative ready to meet and greet you. Then we will start our journey to Sigiriya.

On top of a 200 meters rock, which is surrounded by gardens of the ancient king, sits Sigiriya Rock Fortress. This citadel and the city that surrounds it was constructed in the 5th century AD. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is one of the most stunning man-made sights in Sri Lanka.

After climbing down from Lion Rocks, we will embark on the Jeep Safari through Minneriya National Park. This reservation of nature is located on the banks of the 3rd century AD artificial lake, Minneriya Wewa, where during the dry season wildlife from surrounding areas migrate in search of food and water.

Day 2 – Sigiriya to Kandy

After breakfast at the hotel in Sigiriya, we will start our trip to Kandy.

The first stop on our trip will be in the city of Dambulla. Here we will visit the Golden Temple of Dambulla, the best-preserved and one of the largest Buddhist cave temple complex. Spreading over five caves, over centuries since its founding in the 1st century BC, it was decorated with more than 2,100 square meters of wall paintings depicting the life and teachings of Buddha.

Continuing on our way, we will visit a Spice and Herbal Garden. A Place where you can learn about the spices and medicinal herbs grown in Sri Lanka and used in cuisine and traditional medicine.

When we arrive in Kandy, starting at 4 pm we will attend the Kandyan Dance Show. This cultural heritage spectacle showcases the traditional dances of Sinhalese civilization and traditional garbs and costumes.

If the time allows it, we will visit the Gem Museum, traditional Wood Carving Factory or a Batik Cloth Factory.

Day 3 – Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast at the hotel in Kandy, we will start our journey to Nuwara Eliya.

The first stop on our way we will make in Peradeniya, where the Royal Botanic Garden is located. These gardens are on three sides surrounded by a river home to more than 4,000 different plant species.

Continuing on our way, we will visit the Tea Factory, where on a guided tour we will learn about the history and process of producing some of the best tea in the world.

Our next stop will be visiting the Shri Bhakta Hanuman Kovil, a place of worship dedicated to a member of the Hindu pantheon, Lord Hanuman and one of the central characters of epic Ramayana. Just a short trip away is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka, the Ramboda Ella, over which water slopes in the Y shape.

The cool temperate climate of tea country is also favorable for growing some vegetables and fruits that are more common in continental Europe than in the tropics. And we will visit Strawberry Farm where you can indulge in the aroma of these fruits.

Arriving in Nuwara Eliya, we will spend the rest of the day on Lake Gregory. This artificial lake from the 19th century is a popular leisure spot. Here you can enjoy fishing, boating, or just strolling around the lake.

Day 4 – Nuwara Eliya to Bentota

After breakfast at the hotel in Nuwara Eliya, we will start on our way to Bentota.

On our way, we will pass through the town of Kosgoda where the Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project is located. This institution is dedicated to the protection of nesting grounds of these magnificent animals. And also operates a successful hatchery where baby turtles emerge from eggs protected from predators and other dangers.

While in Kosgoda, we will embark on a one hour River Boat Safari on Madu Ganga River. This river is best known for its stunningly beautiful banks covered by marshy mangrove forests.

Day 5 – Bentota

After breakfast at the hotel in Bentota, we will start our trip to Colombo.

Colombo is the city of many highlights, and we will take a tour and visit them. The Old Fort area, the National Museum of Sri Lanka, Streets of Pettah neighborhood, Gangaramaya Temple, Beira Lake, Independence Memorial Hall, Galle Face Green; are just some of the places we will see on this excursion.

Day 6 – Colombo to Airport

After breakfast at the hotel in Colombo, we will get on our way to Bandaranaike International Airport.

Booking Confirmation Policy
